Watch The Break Costs On Fixed-rate Mortgages

MORE THAN 43,000 people took out fixed-rate mortgages when fixed rates were at their highest between March and September. Since then the cash rate has fallen 3 percentage points. Fees charged to break a fixed rate mortgage vary from lender to lender but in general a borrower has to compensate the lender for the economic cost of breaking the contract.
